I'm ready for some sunshine...Weather Gods....

Here in Washington Spring seems to be a no show right now, we had a teaser about a week ago where it was clear blue skies but only wait for it......54 degrees.  Now if you know anything about Washingtonians you know that when that thermometer hits anything over 50 some break out the birkenstocks and shorts....I personally think those people are crazy, I mean sure its sunny....but it is still FREEZING! I am patiently waiting for some spring weather around these parts....hear me Weather Gods...patiently waiting...

Last summer was kind of a bust, the twins were born at 32 weeks in May so we kept them away from larger groups of people most of the summer, other then a family reunion for a day in July.  We stayed holed up in our house to make sure that they stayed healthy.  Well I'm ready to get outside with them, go to the zoo, the beach, Seattle....pretty much anything you can think of to do outside...I'm ready...bring it on!

These are my summer ideas as of now:

Take these two little cuties to:
Check out the animals at Point Defiance Zoo
Maybe take a stroll around Pike Place

On a day like this!

And probably go here as well!

I am sure I will come up with many more ideas on what to do this summer.  But right now with all this rain it sure doesn't seem like its anywhere close to coming.   What are your plans for the summer...or your favorite activity to do with your little ones???

I'm linking up at The Undomestic Momma again this Tuesday to feature my Top 2 Celebrity Hairstyles!

1. Jennifer Aniston, we all remember this hairstyle I'm sure, the one that "made" Jennifer a household name
"THE RACHEL" circa 1995....
Well I don't care for this particular hairstyle but Jennifer Aniston now has AWESOME hair, I mean I wish my hair looked like hers!

2. Kate Hudson, she always seems to have this effortless, gorgeous hair, like she woke up and walked out of her house with her hair looking that good! NOT FAIR, NOT FAIR, NOT FAIR {little girl tantrum}.
My hair would never hold a curl like that....

Anyways, those are my top 2 celeb hairstyles...what are yours?? Head over to The Undomestic Momma and link up!

Manic Monday picture

This is just some proof....

Just another Manic Monday!

I always feel like Mondays are like coming off of the high of the weekend.  I get to spend all weekend with my precious babies and then 6:30 am Monday morning the alarm goes off and I am jolted back to the reality of being a working mama! I mean I do love what I do but I love my babies more. I do enjoy having adult interaction as well.  Alot of times I am just at a loss as to what to start a post with, I think of all these different topics that everyone can so eloquantly talk about and when I try to type something out is just sounds....well....scatter brained.  This weekend was busy as are most of our weekends, they go by too quickly if I do say so myself.

So in my scatterbrained words here was our weekend in bullet point.

-Auntie Ashley came home Tuesday night and stayed with us until Suday morning, she adores our two little ones, she's great with them, they played and played and played!
-Saturday I went to a local park to take some pics of my good friends 3 girls, they turned out well (I HOPE).
- Saturday night we had a "date night", we went to dinner on a Living Social deal at one of our favorite resturants in Tacoma!
- We were gonna go to a movie afterwards with a Groupon deal through Fandango, I purchased the tickets and by the time we were back in the car after dinner, I was too tired, so my hubby took his brother.
-Sunday we cleaned, cleaned, and cleaned then went to hubby's parents for dinner.

Now its Monday, and I can't seem to concentrate on any single thing, I swear I have to write almost everything down on a post it note so I can remember to tackle it later.  Anyways, I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL weekend and lets hope for a decent good week! What did everyone else do this weekend!

Today at The Undomestic Momma is your Top 2 dream rooms.  When I think of dream rooms I immediately think of Pottery Barn! I love the simplistic and comfortable feeling their rooms in their catalogs have.  They just seem so calming to me.  So here are my Top 2 dream rooms that I will someday have!

1. An AWESOME master bedroom!

I can totally see myself curling up in this bed! (source)
2. A spa-like master bath
This looks like a lovely place to relax! (source)

So apparently this mama wants an oasis to return to once the babes are in bed! What are your 2 dream rooms???

March 18th, 2010- Flashback!

I woke up this morning to the sounds of my babies on their monitor.  I instantly remembered that March 18th, 2010 was a very different wake-up, I had been experiencing contractions all morning until I finally gave in and called my O.B, who had me go in to be monitored, after that I was put on immediate bedrest and so started the beginning of the end of my pregnancy with the twins.  It is crazy to me how much can change in one year.  Terms like premature, steroids, lung development were being thrown around, and now I have two healthy, happy babies.

24 weeks pregnant (right asI got put on bedrest)
March 11th, 2011! 10 Months old!

Committed to a cause

I have decided that I need to be committed to a cause.  Ever since the twins were born prematurely at 32 weeks I have read so much information about March of Dimes, I guess to me I kinda of thought that well since I had twins I guess I was in a way asking for having babies early, it wasn't until I found so many blogs about MoMs who have carried their twins to 36, 37 or even 38 weeks that I realized that well I guess prematurity doesn't happen to every set of twins, I guess I did have an experience that not all have thankfully.  I thank god everyday that my babies are healthy and active 9 month olds.

I know things could have happened very different when I started dialating at 26 weeks.  I fought daily to keep them put where they could get bigger and stronger and when my body gave out the research that March of Dimes has done helped them get bigger and stronger.

I have decided I am going to walk for my twins and every other baby out there that was born early! I have signed up, I have committed and I am going to do it! I have added a button on my page if you may feel so inclined to donate to this cause.  Letters are going out, messages posted on facebook and I am hoping to get to my goal of $200.  Hopefully I exceed this goal and maybe next year I can dream even bigger!!
DONATE HERE!!!
