How Sweet

These cards made my day. They are from the NICU where the twins spent their first month. I love that they make sure they each feel special with their own birthday card.

Where Does the Time go...Can someone help me find it...

Of course it being the week of the twins 1st birthday I find myself looking at pictures of the last 12 months, and the few crazy days leading up to their early arrival.

I found this picture, May 10th or 11th, 2010! Can you tell I was so DONE being pregnant, I had been having constant contractions for 8 weeks, been in bed, and been pumped full of mag and steroids so the twins would have a better shot at health outside of the womb.

I cannot even remember being this big now, how crazy. I look so tired and sore, I have this pic as a bare belly too but I'll spare you because it actually makes my stomach hurt looking at it, I can't believe I got that HUGE and still didn't get a stretchmark...(yeah you can hate me now, sorry).  The lovely iv line that had to be changed 4 times, the exhaustion of a soon to be twin mama, its alot crazy to look back on now and remember that its all part of my story.

I have a post in the works for what I have learned in my 12 months of MoMmyhood! Also a few posts on our NICU stay because I don't want to forget it all and soon I'm afraid it will find its way into the distant past that I can't recall.  Along with of course a birthday post and pictures, O which makes me think I may need to go buy a new memory card just so I can take a ton of pictures.

March of Dimes

On Saturday we walked for March of Dimes "March for Babies", this cause is close to our hearts since the twins were born early for no apparent reason other then they simply ran out of room and my body could no longer support them.

We were so lucky and the rain here in the PNW held off until the walk was finished.  It was perfect, it was cool so we didn't get too hot either! Thankfully the weather gods were looking out for us.  Our walk was 6 miles and well guys I don't work out, as in I mean I DO NOT WORK OUT, the last time I walked 6 miles was probably sometime in High School and well that was 6 years ago, and since then I went through IVF, twin pregnancy, givng birth, well you get the picture...OUT of SHAPE!

I am proud to say I made it, surprisingly wasn't really even that sore the next day! Only my shins! My hubby and mom and dad came out to support the cause as well.

I raised $350!! I have awesome friends and family! AWESOME! All I did was send out a cause letter and published on facebook and BOOM !!!$350!!! was raised like that {snaps fingers}!

I had a lot of fun and it made me proud to walk with my healthy happy twins! Thank the lord that they are healthy and happy and are developing at their actual age rather then their adjusted age.  They rode in the stroller the entire time and did so wonderfully! We did have to bribe them in the end with some animal crackers and puffs but they did it!

Here is a couple of pics from our walk! I can't wait to do it again next year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and Mother's Day! My hubby didn't dissapoint and I got a new lens for my camera, just in time for the Twins Birthday this Friday!!

I will be back soon with a series of flashbacks and updates and soon a PARTY!!

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers day to all you wonderful mamas!

Last mothers day I was sitting in a hospital bed awaiting the arrival of our twins, ready to go with an epidural in and a little worried. Little did I know that my contractions would slow down, they would remove the epidural and I would have a mini meltdown.  They would later make their dramatic arrival on May 13th.

This mothers day I have my healthy and beautiful twins. I never knew a love like this existed until I saw them.
