Zoo Trip

Saturday we packed up the twins and their wagon and headed up to the zoo! We had some passes that needed to be used by April so we have been waiting for a semi nice weekend to go.  Seeing as our weather here was 50 but sunny it is considered Spring and you go outside! The twins were much more into the zoo this trip than the last time that we went.  They were so excited to see all of the animals and wanted to walk around all by themselves.

We got there just after the park opened before the huge crowds arrived (remember it is Washington and over 50 degrees, everyone goes outside).  We made the whole round by a little after noon and headed home.  The rest of the day we went on a family walk and played outside, good thing too since today it is raining... :( .  We are considering getting the family membership so we can go whenever we want all year and not feel bad if we only spend a couple hours there.

Here are a few pictures from our zoo trip!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!

Lets Sit Down and Catch Up!

Hi everyone, I have been M.I.A and so busy lately.  So here's a little catch up.

1st and foremost thanks to my awesome guest blogger who took some stress away from last week!

Now onto catching up, my big events for this year are now over and I can breath again.  I am solely responsible for these classes and other then our staff showing up on the morning of to help with registration and taking payments it is all on my shoulders to make sur everything else happens.  I deal with sponsors and speakers and large conference centers to coordinate these events and when they come together and no one complains I am a happy girl.

This last Friday we had a little blip at the beginning, as in the entire mic system went down 10 minutes before we were supposed to start, the poor crew was running around and finally had to pull out the old school speakers and HOUR LATE! I was getting so stressed and nervous and being the control freak that I am, couldn't stand that I could not do one little thing about it, and just had to sit there and wait and wait for them to get it up and running.

After the class our family got to enjoy the Great Wolf Lodge and we had a blast, because of the problems that morning they upgraded my room and had chocolate waiting for me when I checked in, that's what you call customer service ;) aka sucking up so I choose them and pay them lots of money next year.

Here are a few pictures of our weekend.

Here are some pictures of our event!

The room all set up with swag!

Water park passes for all!

Introducing our first speaker Dr. Dolphine Oda

And our main speaker Dr. Stanley Malamed!

And here are the pictures from after our class and from our family fun time at Great Wolf Lodge!

So nice to catch up a little with all of you and now I can resume normal blogging and catching up on all of your blogs as well, I've missed you all dearly!

P.S. I totally wore my bikini but I am totally not showing you! ;)

And if you have a moment please vote for us so I can meet more multiple mommies! Hope you all are having a GREAT WEEK!

Weekend catch-up/Toddle Along Tuesday

Welcome if you are from Toddle Along Tuesday!!

This was the first weekend that we were not required to be ANYWHERE on Saturday, it was so nice to wake up and play with the babies and not be rushing out the door to be somewhere.  Saturday we just lounged around and cleaned the house which was a mess from not being home the last few weekends or having parties at our house.

On Saturday we ran a couple quick errands to pick up some crafty items at Jo Anne's.  I saw this adorable pattern for a pillowcase dress that I showed my mother in law who is a sewing master, Ava needs I mean NEEDS these for summer, plus I can just throw a long sleeved top under and use into the fall.  Just look at this it's adorable!!

After, my sister and I headed over to World Market to look around, she is moving into her own apartment and has been bugging begging me for my mattress so I decided to make a deal to make my home office more of an office and less of another bedroom with a giant queen bed.  When we bought our house we upgraded to a king bed so we put our queen in our "guest room" but it pretty much takes up the whole room.  So she purchased this sleeper sofa and I'm letting her take my mattress.  Good deal really!

Sunday we had a little party to celebrate her graduation.  Family, food, and friends, you can't really ask for a better way to spend a Sunday!

Well that's about all I've got for you today! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

A Whole New Respect!

So this weekend my hubby went up to Whistler with his brothers and dad for a "boys" weekend, full of skiing and eating and generally relaxing.  This means I was a single mama at home with the twins.  I have not spent time apart from him since the twins were born, he is an amazing daddy, always helpful and constantly playing with them.  I am used to his help and probably take it for granted on a daily basis.

Anyways, he left town about 2 pm on Friday, I decided to take the twins to Target to run some errands.  Im used to doing this on my own which made it easier.  They love to people watch so they just smiled at everyone who looked at them.  When we were finished up at Target we headed back home around 4ish.  This is where is starts to get a little harder.  While they have been trying to drop their afternoon nap on me for some time now, they tend to get a little cranky now around 4pm, so I did my best to entertain them by myself (turns out I'm not as funny as daddy is).  We finally made it to feeding time at the zoo.  I am learning my timing skills now that I have to cook them dinner and have it ready by 6 pm.  As they were sqwaking at me for their food, I was rushing to get their pasta noodles cooled down so they could eat them.  Finally it was ready to eat, so they finished that off quick, I topped them off with some cereal and proceeded to start our bedtime routine.  Luckily even though the were exhausted, they went to sleep with no troubles.

Saturday we all got up and played the day away, they napped a little but we mostly played and played and played....boy I was tired.  My parents were coming over to watch them so I could go to a girls night out to celebrate a friends birthday! I was excited to get out of the house but by the time 9 pm rolled around all I could think about was getting back home.  I came home to quiet sleeping babies and went to bed.

Sunday we basically repeated Saturday again until daddy came home at 6ish.  Man, was I happy to see him, the kids were very excited that their daddy was home!

I definitely had fun taking care of them by myself and it was fine for a weekend, but I don't know how single moms do it, they must be some incredibly stong women.  I definitely take for granted the fact that I can leave the babies at home with their fully capable daddy while I run out to do errands and such.

All in all it was a successful weekend, everyone is healthy and happy (other then daddy's ankle) which he rolled while walking...but he still managed to snowboard and have fun.  And now I am tired  EXAUSTED  Hope everyone had a great weekend and here's to a GOOD week!

P.S. However I will pat my own back since I had a pot roast in the crock pot and chocolate chip cookies in the oven when he came home!! O and a semi-clean house!! YAY ME!

Just another Manic Monday!

I always feel like Mondays are like coming off of the high of the weekend.  I get to spend all weekend with my precious babies and then 6:30 am Monday morning the alarm goes off and I am jolted back to the reality of being a working mama! I mean I do love what I do but I love my babies more. I do enjoy having adult interaction as well.  Alot of times I am just at a loss as to what to start a post with, I think of all these different topics that everyone can so eloquantly talk about and when I try to type something out is just sounds....well....scatter brained.  This weekend was busy as are most of our weekends, they go by too quickly if I do say so myself.

So in my scatterbrained words here was our weekend in bullet point.

-Auntie Ashley came home Tuesday night and stayed with us until Suday morning, she adores our two little ones, she's great with them, they played and played and played!
-Saturday I went to a local park to take some pics of my good friends 3 girls, they turned out well (I HOPE).
- Saturday night we had a "date night", we went to dinner on a Living Social deal at one of our favorite resturants in Tacoma!
- We were gonna go to a movie afterwards with a Groupon deal through Fandango, I purchased the tickets and by the time we were back in the car after dinner, I was too tired, so my hubby took his brother.
-Sunday we cleaned, cleaned, and cleaned then went to hubby's parents for dinner.

Now its Monday, and I can't seem to concentrate on any single thing, I swear I have to write almost everything down on a post it note so I can remember to tackle it later.  Anyways, I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL weekend and lets hope for a decent good week! What did everyone else do this weekend!
